On September 29, at the historic Montague Inn in Saginaw, the Mridha International Institute of Peace & Happiness (MIIPH) held a Walk for Peace in recognition of International Peace Day. This was the inaugural public event for MIIPH. Participants, each wearing MIIPH’s logo T-shirt, walked approximately two miles, carrying their Peace Walk banner and signs that read, “Peace Is our Purpose,” “Peace Is the Answer,” and “Peace Is Magic.” The walk proceeded to the Saginaw YMCA before returning to its starting point at the Inn.
Mridha Foundation and MIIPH Founder, Debasish Mridha, MD, addressed walkers with a brief welcome speech at the Montague Inn’s outdoor Guitar Arena. Dr. Mridha thanked all attendees and invited them to join MIIPH through the website. He also shared his thoughts on how we can make the world a better place and find peace – not by looking, but by giving.
